About Tangail Sarees Tangail sarees are hand-woven on cotton and silk with hand-worked buti, floral design or latest motifs. The main characteristic of Tangail saree is the extra weft buti, tiny motifs repeated in every single place the ground of the saree with the assistance of Jacquard loom. Cotton Tangail is very popular because it is light and excellent as a day by day wear. About 1,000 weavers and 2,000 ancillary artisans, in large part in Nadia and some in Bardhaman district are producing these colourful, easy-to-manage, uniquely elegant cotton sarees.
